Everesse Skin Tightening

Lift and Volume. Without a Needle.

Everesse is a skin tightening treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to lift and restore volume on the face, neck, and body without needles or downtime. You feel warmth, not pain. Most patients see a change after the first session, and collagen keeps building for the next 12 to 16 weeks.

What It Is

Everesse is a skin tightening treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the deeper layers of skin to the point where existing collagen contracts and new collagen begins to form. The energy is delivered at 6.78 MHz in a single continuous pulse rather than a series of short bursts, reaching both the papillary and reticular dermis while the surface of the skin stays protected. Nothing punctures the skin. The result is built by your own tissue responding to controlled heat.

The part most patients notice first is the cooling. Everesse uses continuous water cooling rather than the pulsed gas cooling found on many other radiofrequency systems, which keeps the surface of the skin comfortable while the tissue underneath heats. That is why no numbing is required, and why most patients describe a session as a warm facial massage rather than a procedure.

One session covers more ground than most tightening treatments. Everesse is used on:

  • Face, including the cheeks and midface
  • Jawline and under-chin
  • Neck and chest
  • Arms, abdomen, and thighs

Results follow two timelines at once. You will see tightening immediately after the first session, and you will keep seeing improvement for 12 to 16 weeks as new collagen matures. Everesse won the 2025 Elle Tools and Treatments Award. Every session at Charlotte Medical Aesthetics is performed under the medical direction of Dr. Lindsay Crenshaw, who is on site daily.

You Still Look Like You

The fear people bring to a tightening consultation is rarely the treatment itself. It is walking out looking done. Everesse cannot overfill you, because nothing is added. No filler, no toxin, no implant. The lift comes from collagen you already have contracting and rebuilding, so the change follows the face you walked in with.

It also arrives slowly. Some tightening shows after the first session, and the rest builds over 12 to 16 weeks. That gradual timeline is the reason the result reads as rested rather than treated. People tend to tell you that you look well. They do not tend to ask what you had done.

Brands and Products

Everesse by Cartessa Aesthetics

Everesse is a monopolar radiofrequency platform built for tightening and volume restoration without injections. It delivers 6.78 MHz energy in a single continuous pulse, treating the papillary and reticular dermis together while continuous water cooling protects the skin surface. Treatment runs 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area. No numbing is needed, and there is no recovery period beyond an hour or two of mild redness. Winner of the 2025 Elle Tools and Treatments Award.

Where Everesse Sits Among Our Energy Devices

Everesse is the tightening and volume tool. It is not a resurfacing device and it does not treat pigment. For texture, sun damage, fine lines, redness, or broken capillaries, we use the DEKA Tetra Pro CO2 laser, the Candela Nordlys, or the Motus AZ+. Many treatment plans combine Everesse with one of them. You can see the full range on our Laser and Energy page.

Who It's For

Everesse suits patients who are seeing skin loosen along the jawline, neck, or midface and who want tightening without an injection, an incision, or a recovery window. It works across the face and on the body, so it also suits patients bothered by laxity on the arms, abdomen, or thighs. Because it does not target melanin, Everesse is appropriate for all skin types and tones.

It is a strong fit if you have been considering Ultherapy, if you have been putting off a tightening treatment because of the discomfort you have heard about, or if you need to be back at work the same afternoon. It is also a reasonable first step for patients who are not ready to consider surgery and want to know what non-surgical tightening can realistically do.

Everesse is not the right treatment for everyone. Patients with an implanted electronic device in or near the treatment area, an active skin infection at the treatment site, or certain medical conditions may need to wait or choose a different approach. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are also reasons to postpone. Dr. Crenshaw reviews your full health history before any energy-based treatment, which is standard practice here rather than an extra step.

What to Expect

Before Your Treatment

There is almost nothing to do. Everesse requires no pre-treatment preparation, no numbing cream, and no change to your skincare routine beforehand. Arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area. Your consultation covers your goals, your health history, and how many sessions the area you want treated is likely to need.

During Your Treatment

A session runs 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area. Your provider moves the handpiece across the treatment zone in a steady pattern while the device delivers continuous radiofrequency energy and cools the surface at the same time. Most patients describe it as a warm massage. You can talk through the whole session, and you can ask to pause at any point.

After Your Treatment

You can drive yourself home and go straight back to your day. Expect mild redness for one to two hours and nothing beyond that. There is no peeling, no bruising, and no aftercare protocol. Tightening is visible immediately, and it continues to improve over the following 12 to 16 weeks as new collagen forms. Most patients are treated in a series of two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Everesse a Skin Tightening Treatment?

Yes. Everesse is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the deeper layers of skin. That heat contracts the collagen you already have for immediate firmness, then stimulates new collagen over the following weeks. It treats laxity on the face, jawline, neck, chest, arms, abdomen, and thighs. There is no incision, no anesthesia, and no recovery period.

How Does Everesse Compare to Ultherapy?

They reach similar goals through different energy. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound and Everesse uses monopolar radiofrequency with continuous water cooling, which is what allows an Everesse session to be done without numbing. Charlotte Medical Aesthetics previously offered Ultherapy and moved to Everesse. If you came here researching Ultherapy, bring that to your consultation and Dr. Crenshaw will walk you through the comparison directly.

How Much Does Everesse Cost?

Everesse is priced by treatment area and by the number of sessions in your series, and you receive an exact quote at your consultation before you commit to anything. A jawline alone takes less time than a full face and neck, so the two do not cost the same. Most patients are treated in a series of two to three sessions. The consultation itself is complimentary.

How Many Everesse Sessions Will I Need?

Most patients are treated in a series of two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. You will see tightening after the first one, but the full result comes from the series, because each session adds to the collagen the previous one started. Larger areas and more significant laxity sit at the higher end. Dr. Crenshaw will give you a specific number at your consultation.

What Does an Everesse Treatment Feel Like?

Most patients describe it as a warm facial massage. Everesse cools the surface of the skin continuously while it heats the tissue underneath, which is why no numbing cream is needed. You will feel steady warmth that builds and then eases as the handpiece moves on. If the heat ever climbs past comfortable, tell your provider and the setting is adjusted on the spot.

How Long Do Everesse Results Last?

Results last up to 12 months or more after a full series of two to three sessions. What you are seeing is your own collagen, so the timeline follows your own aging rather than a product wearing off. Most patients return once a year for a single maintenance session to hold the result. Sun protection and consistent skincare extend it further.

Is Everesse Safe for Darker Skin Tones?

Yes. Everesse is appropriate for all skin types and Fitzpatrick tones because radiofrequency energy does not target melanin the way light-based and laser treatments do. That removes the hyperpigmentation risk that makes some resurfacing and IPL treatments a careful decision for deeper complexions. Your provider still reviews your history and your skin before treating.
